It is important to land that perfect job and what more do you need to present for that interview? The perfect resume! A perfect resume may not be exactly at its best but just the sake of having the most needed contents for you to land that creative job is what really counts. Here’s some tips in making the perfect creative resume.
1. Keep it simple
Having so much information can be overwhelming and putting too much color can be very distracting. It should be pleasing to the eyes and it must require some sort of balance in the layout.
2. Don’t forget to update
Always keep your resume updated. From the latest awards to recent seminars attended would be a good start to lay your finger on.
3. Keeping it real
The truth is what matters! That’s all there is to it, keeping all information being used on the resume must be true because everything from there will take you to your next step of the job description.
4. Simple keywords
Keywords in a resume should be simple and easy to understand. Don’t sound to fancy because no one would get what your trying to say.
5. Work Experience
Working experience should be relevant. No need to include the jobs that weren’t really related. You should include what your most proud of and make sure its more focused on the description you are going for.
6. Tailor it
Make it to your own liking. It is customized by you, for you. A creative resume is what describes you and you can cater it on your own. But remember, the way you design it is the way that reflects you. Keep it pleasing to the eyes.
7. Must have order
Of course through our experiences and educational attainments, we are given years and all sorts of dates. What is important amongst these dates are having to put them in chronological order to keep it organized.
8. Be creative and use visuals
Instead of going for that plain look, try using visuals or icons to replace those boring bullets or long list of words, this will add more character to your creative resume.
